Welcome Primary 6 at Castlview!
We had a very busy term in the lead up to the Christmas holidays;
We have been enjoying using our new iPads as part of the Empowered Learning rollout.
The Children experienced some fantastic musical opportunities with Dunedin consort where they wrote their own songs and performed them for each other and parents and carers.
We have also been very lucky that Alex from Bikability Scotland has been teaching us all about cycle safety and we are excited to get back on two wheels.
In Literacy we have been learning how improve our comprehension skills by reading increasingly more challenging texts.
In Numeracy we are beginning to work on Fractions Decimals and Percentages and are using a variety of different strategies and resources to support us.
This term we will be exploring the Life of Mary Queen of Scots as well as gaining local knowledge about Craigmillar Castle.
