Castleview Junior Rangers is an interdisciplinary project which our Primary 5 undertake through Outdoor Learning. The aim of the project is connect our young people with their local park and for them to share and celebrate its history, biodiversity and natural beauty. Using the structure of the John Muir Award Pupils Discover, Explore, Conserve and Share their wild place.
Our Junior Rangers use QR codes to take participants on a tour of Craigmillar Castle Park. Junior Rangers tell stories of the history, biodiversity and geology of the park. At each point of the walking tour Junior Rangers share challenges to help participants connect with the beauty of the park.

Girls Forest Circus
Castleview Primary has worked closely with Think Circus and Rowanbank Environmental Arts to facilitate our Girls Forest Circus for over 3 years. Girls form P6 and P7 are invited to engage in a range of circus and forest based activities to help build resilience and self esteem. The girls meet weekly throughout the year and have produced some amazingly creative work including their very own forest production of the The Sleepover.
