Bonfire Night

This week Primary one have been learning about being safe during Bonfire Night. We talked about no touching the fireworks, holding sparklers away from us, keeping pets inside to keep them safe and stand back from the bonfires.
After Bonfire night, the children have been sharing with the rest of Primary one how they celebrated.
We have also made lots of fire work pictures too.
P1 October Update

Can you believe our P1s have been at school for over two months already?
We have learned so much in such a short time! In our literacy lessons, one of our main focuses has been on letter sounds. So far, we have explored the letters A, T, P, I, N, S, and M. The P1s had a fantastic time creating their very own ‘M’ monsters—they were so imaginative!
We also celebrated Spooky Season by sharing some incredible pumpkins from home. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed these amazing creations! Special congratulations to Aspen in P1A, whose pumpkin was voted the best by our P1 students—what a spooktacular effort!
Exploring Music & Creativity at Craigmillar Library with Tinderbox

Primary 7 enjoyed a creative visit to Craigmillar Library to take part in a music workshop with the Tinderbox Collective. Pupils explored a range of instruments, learned how the library’s instrument lending scheme works, and even tried composing short pieces together. It was a brilliant opportunity to discover how music, creativity and community come together. One pupil in particular loved playing the keyboard and so we brought it back to the classroom with us!
