Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to hear Scotland’s exciting street orchestra through your network – the Nevis Ensemble at St Martin’s Parish Church this Friday (25 January) from 11-11.45 am in Magdalene (Craigmillar) at 1 Magdalene Drive. The concert is free of charge and informal. The conductor and orchestra members are highly trained musicians and their performance will – without doubt – be joyful and inspiring. The repertoire will be wide and varied – classical, Scottish and popular music, performed to a high standard.
The Nevis Ensemble last performed in Craigmillar at Richmond Hope Church to raving reviews and applause. Don’t miss this brilliant opportunity. See flyer below.
Ms Lindsey Watt, our previous Headteacher, returned to Castleview for this morning’s Assembly. She shared with us, her experience at Buckingham Palace on 16 November 2018, when Prince Charles awarded her an Order Of The British Empire (OBE) on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen.
Ms Watt showed us a video of the day and explained that an OBE was a beautiful badge given to recognise special work. Ms Watt said that it was really an award for everyone at Castleview as it was a very special school, where wonderful things happen.
Ms Watt said she was still very busy, as now she was helping other Headteachers which was important, however, she missed her Castleview Family.
