Science in P2B
We had a fun Science lesson in P2B today. We tried to make magic fireworks with milk, food colouring and fairy liquid.
We filled some trays with milk and popped food colouring in it. Then we dipped cotton buds into fairy liquid and then kept them still in the milk. When our experiment worked, the fairy liquid reacted to the fat in the milk and sent the food colouring shooting across the tray like fireworks. However, the nature of science is that it does not work flawlessly every time so some of our experiments weren’t as effective as others.
Great teamwork from everyone! 🙂
P2 had a great time learning how to write a computer program!!
We worked with a partner to build a Lego robot and then we used a computer to write a short computer program. This made the robot move and cheer, it was very exciting.
P3/4 Science Fun!
P3/4 enjoyed their Science workshop this afternoon! We learned all about different types of energy and electricity. Did you know that wind is a source of electricity? The electricity is generated in massive wind turbines! We made our own wind turbines, it was so much fun!
Scientific investigations
Primary 5 are investigating their specimens from last week’s trip to Craigmillar Woods.
The Sun, Earth and Moon.
Primary 2 are learning about how there is night and day on Earth. We acted out being the Sun, Earth and Moon.
