He’s a poet, and he DOES know it!
P4-7 really enjoyed listening to Mr Coelho talking about his poems and teaching us more about similes, metaphors, onomatopoeia, repetition, alliteration and rhyme.
He even signed a few books for our school.
Thank you to the Scottish Book Trust for organising the visit.
P3a were learning about possessive apostrophes this morning. We went outside and used some chalk to correct our sentences.
Miss White and Miss Palmer were impressed with P3’s super team work and learning, well done!
Primary 2 have been learning about nouns. This morning we worked with a partner to go on a noun hunt around the classroom. We also decided whether we worked well with our partners and gave each other feedback. Well done P2, what great learning this morning.
To celebrate Craigmillar Book Week P4 pupils across the cluster were gifted a book of their choice through the generosity of the Siobhan Dowd Trust. Pupils were entertained by the stories and rhymes from Simon Radcliffe from City of Edinburgh Libraries and received a book, bookmark and a badge. They were absolutely delighted and today it’s been rare to see a P4 without their book! Interestingly, David Walliams was the top author of choice.
