Hello and welcome to P5a with Miss Stewart.

Recently we have been studying the Wauchope Mausoleum as part of our Scots week topic. We also learned a poem called the Blethertoun vet which we performd at our assembly, we were fantastic and it helped us to learn more about the Scots language and the skills of translation.

Mrs Kelly works Monday to Wednesday.

Mrs Faichney works Wednesday to Friday.

In term 3 we will be learning about Scots language, The Craigmillar Heritage trail, habitats and working hard on the senior school show!

In maths we are developing our addition skills and mental strategies for this.

In PE we are developing our dance and games skills.

We will use this space to keep you updated on all the things we are getting up to.

We have lots of exciting things to look forward to this term, including our new topic, Greyfriars Bobby, and a visit to Greyfriars Kirkyard.  We have begun learning about Scotland and we are enjoying exploring maps and globes.  We have been discussing Scottish traditions and have enjoyed designing our own tartan kilts!

Miss Grant, Mrs Finch and Mrs Neilson welcome you to P3!

In Term 3 we are exploring Scot’s language and our city, Edinburgh. We will be visiting our local area and further afield to develop our sense of place. We will be developing our ICT skills to demonstrate our learning.

We are looking forward to our Science weeks where we will immerse ourselves in magnets, forces and changing materials.
