First thing Monday morning P4 really enjoyed working with PC Lily, and Mark, Dave and Pam from the Community Safety Team thinking about, ‘The City They See.’ They focused on how to deal with and prevent anti-social behaviour. P4 were shocked to find out it costs £500 per piece of graffiti to remove it!
Their learning also linked to Rights Respecting Schools, as they thought about which rights they have that anti social behaviour affected.
P4 had prepared questions such as: what benefits do you get, as well as getting paid?
Tuesday P4 thoroughly enjoyed finding about working at Dynamic Earth! I think quite a few pupils fancy being Education Officers now!
During Scots week, Marnie performed her Highland dance to Primary 2. Isn’t she amazing?!
Miss Florence’s Maths group have been working very hard and learning about numbers up to 100! Here are some of the activities we have been doing…
P1 have had a great start to Citizenship Week! Today we worked with Park Rangers from Holyrood Park. We learned all about different kinds of birds then made bird feeders for the local birds to enjoy. We took some bird feeders to Sandy’s Community Centre, put some up in the school grounds and took some home. We know we have the right to enjoy the outdoors and we are being good citizens by helping to look after the wildlife.
