Park Smart at Castleview

Our JRSOs have launched Castleview’s Park Smart campaign. We want to encourage more children and parents to walk, scoot and cycle to school. This will help to keep traffic congestion and danger away from the school gates. Look out for our new yellow banner at the school gates! We will also be sending home a Park Smart Pledge so that everyone can help make our school grounds safer. The Park Smart Campaign respects our right to be kept safe, article 19.

Disability Access Day

Today the RRS Steering group took part in a Bonspiel tournament for #disabilityaccessday with @thistlecharity. Some of our children won medals! We were given some lovely treats to keep our energy up too!

This afternoon our RRS steering group worked very hard together to begin creating their plans for their new project – Disability Access Day (10th March). 

P4 Discuss Internet Safety

Tomorrow is Internet Safety Day. 

We discussed some Internet scenarios and spoke in groups about what we would do. Most of the time, we decided to check things with a trusted adult. 


Article 19: We have the right to be kept safe and away from harm. 

Article 17: We have the right to information and adults should make sure this is not harmful. 

For example, for our protection Miss Karam does not put our names on this website. We have given photo permission. The school has a policy for Internet Safety. We can talk to our teachers if we are worried or upset.
